Have you heard of Glimmers? Google it and you’ll find that they are kind of a “thing” right now. Glimmers are like the opposite of “triggers”. They are tiny micro-moments of joy—fleeting, everyday moments that elicit a rush of happiness and gratitude. As we navigate all the post-pandemic pandemonium, it’s these glimmers that encourage us to be present in the moments that spark joy, awe, and …. appropriately— WONDER. We need these things in our lives now more than ever. Glimmers are everywhere, if you just take a moment to look around.

About CJ Metzger:
Show co-curator, Candace CJ Metzger is a local artist, designer, writer and arts advocate who has exhibited her whimsical narrative artwork locally and across the US, most recently in the The Secret Live’s of Doll’s show at Leanna Lin’s Wonderland last November. She lives and works with her husband Pete (and 4 fur babies, who don’t do much work) in an eclectic home and studio in Glendale built by her artist grandparents. And if you ask her what she’s most proud of, she’d say being momma to her amazingly talented and creative daughter, Sophie (who’s in this show, works at LLW and attends Art Center Pasadena).
About Leanna Lin:
Show co-curator, Leanna owns a playful gift shop and art gallery, Leanna Lin's Wonderland, where the show will be exhibited! Her background is visual arts and fashion design. After being in the fashion industry as a dress designer for several years, she opened Wonderland in 2010. Leanna lives in Eagle Rock with her husband, Luis, and their 2 rescue dogs - Twinkie and Maximus! All native Angelinos!
