Mother's Day is Sunday, May 14th! * Join us for a sweet Mother's Day weekend pop-up + workshop on Saturday, May 13th from 12-4pm! This is a special event to come with your Mama friends, your own Mom/s and kiddos or just to scout out special gifts (or make one) for the Mamas in your world.

May is also AAPI Heritage Month! We are proud to feature all female-AAPI Makers for this event: Hahn Jewelry, Hapa Girl Crafts, KINdom, Kindred Kolaches (mama friends), and Sakai Harts & Crafts!

Each maker will be donating 20% of their sales to Miry's List. The mission of Miry’s List is to improve the experience for new arrival families by filling gaps in the governmental system of support for refugees, and providing a mechanism for our community of supporters to directly help families with the things, people and programming needed to thrive in the United States.

* MEET THE MAKERS!

HAHN JEWELRY is designed and made in Long Beach, Ca. by LA native, Dhamee Hahn (aka Tammie). Inspired by nature, Art Deco and Modern architecture, Tammie fabricates and cast her pieces using sterling silver and 14kt gold dipped brass wire.

Tammie has a BFA in jewelry and metalsmithing from California State University, Long Beach (where she also teaches) and an MFA from The University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.

Renaté of HAPA GIRL CRAFTS has been a maker and crafter since the early 80's with the last decade centered around supporting small craft businesses by creating “Make-n-Take" craft projects for customers at craft shows. This has been a passion and a joy, but most of all, what she loves most is helping to quiet the voices in people’s minds that tell them they are not creative.

* During this Mother's Day event Renaté will be leading an open studio "DIY Paper Art Collage Workshop". Create a dimensional shadow box framed paper-art piece/s for all the wonderful people in your life. The project will use layers of colorful paper cutouts using glue, dimensional tape, and pop-dots to create happy gifts of art! There will be examples to follow and you can free flow the project too.

$25 PER PROJECT (open studio). Suggested ages 5 years old and up. All materials will be provided, as well as her guidance and encouragement. No reservations required.

Jackie and Janeesa are longtime mom friends and kindred spirits! One day, bonding over a shared love of Kolaches, they realized there was a lack of Kolache presence in LA. SAKAI HARTS & CRAFTS
 are bright and playful pottery handcrafted in sunny California! Born and raised in California, much of Michelle’s inspiration comes from her love and study of the ocean. She earned her B.S. in Aquatic Biology at UC Santa Barbara and M.A. in Education at Loyola Marymount University before she serendipitously got into pottery! Michelle took a class during grad school on a whim and turned a hobby into her small business.

* For this special Mother's Day pop-up, Michelle will also be planting select ceramics with succulents to make the perfect grab and go gift for Mom, alongside bringing her other handmade pottery!
