We are halfway into the California Love Art Show, which opened on March 5th and excited for all the buzz we've gotten. Check us out on NBCLA.com and OccidentalWeekly.com. If you missed the opening event, here are some photos.

.
Also, if you haven't seen the show yet, here's a fun excuse! Stop by on Sat. April 2nd from 4-8pm for a
California Love Pop-Up + Live Art Event with Angela Song & Melinda Tracy Boyce of Cactus Club. They'll be bringing their artsy goods and doing live art. Why not think of Mother's Day gifts early?
.
.
The show ends April 24th and 10% of the art show + pop-up will be donated to
CITYstage.

Just for fun, I asked the California Love Art Show artists this question & below are some answers!
.Q: What is your favorite place to visit in California, that will always lift your spirits?
Big Sur! The majestic redwoods there are magical and the cliffside waterfalls (like McWay Falls) are from a fairy tale. The charming-as-hell artist town of Carmel is just a hop up the highway too.
.
My favorite place to visit in California to lift my spirits is the beach. It's where I go whenever I feel stressed or overwhelmed and it always helps me clear my head. Maybe it's because it's one of the constants between Southern California where I grew up, and Northern California where I live now- but it always does the trick!
.
My favorite place to visit in California is split between yummy boba shops/dessert places, and Disneyland!
.
I don't get to go out very much... But driving up Angeles Crest Highway until I get to snow is awesome. You get to see many animals on the way. It's in L.A., but doesn't feel
like it.
.
When I'm in LA, my favorite place to visit is my brother's house. He has tons of toys and a swimming pool so it's the perfect getaway for me. Also just down the street from him there is the best "Fresh Fruit" cart. They make the best fruit salad that is super sweet and spicy! Just the way I like it!
.
I love
My Vegan Gold! It's a magical place where every vegan dish is a spoonful of heaven! There are various vegan/veggie places around LA but My Vegan Gold has a very unique selection and palette that don't taste anything like the other ones. It's not just good food, it's a mind-numbingly delicious experience. The kind of place you're PROUD to take anyone who isn't a veggiehead/vegan.
.
I love going to Huntington Gardens...it's so peaceful and lush, and their cactus garden is so huge you can get lost in it! It definitely inspires me.
.
My favorite place to visit in California is the beach because it relaxes me to watch the waves roll in. In addition to the vast stretch of the water, I enjoy seeing the view of the mountains and palm trees waving in the wind. I was born on the other side of the Pacific, and now that I am looking at it from the other side, I realize nature is so much bigger than I am, and any troubles I have are simply small in comparison. I let it all wash over me….
.
My absolute favorite place to visit in California (when I save up enough change and can get the time off from work) is Disneyland! This might be a bit of a cliche answer but I can't get enough of this place. Every chance I get to go I have a great time and everything seems so new, I love it. Going there just gives me such a magical and happy feeling, the only downside is I've never seen my favorite disney princess there, Princess Jasmine. I know younger me would have loved to meet her during my first visit, if I meet her now I know I might cry.
.
Whenever we need a break from the noise of Los Angeles, we rent a little homestead cabin outside of Joshua Tree National Park. Joshua Tree is so quiet that it's almost disorienting, and the landscape makes you feel like you're on a different planet. We always return to Los Angeles completely refreshed.
.
We love the Blue Bayou restaurant at Disneyland!
.
It is hard to choose just one. It's obvious from my piece that Disneyland is one of my favorite places to visit. No matter how many times you go in your lifetime, it's always a different experience with new memories to create.
.
Hana and I also answered the question :)
.
I recently fell in love with the Monterey coast. Something about the way the sun fell on the rocky coast made me realize how much I love California.
.
Palm Springs during the Modernism Week! Not only is it my birthday weekend, but the weather is perfect in February. The architecture is so surreal and it takes you to another world. We get inspired for ideas for our own home also ;)
