COLOR/PLAY is a collection of Modern Mini Quilts, made by taking classic designs and turning them on their head! Resulting in playful and out-of-the-box patterns, colors, and technique. Done by the talented members of the Los Angeles Modern Quilt Guild (LAMQG). Much of the public is only familiar with traditional, bed-sized, or Amish quilts, but quilts have so much more potential! LAMQG aims to broaden the experience one might have with quilting, to include more modern, joyful, and aesthetically pleasing pieces of fiber art. 50% of the art proceeds will be donated directly to the programming costs and equity fund for LAMQG, allowing for affordable and equitable learning, and advancements in the Modern Quilting movement. All quilts will be $250 and less!
* COLOR/PLAY is coordinated and curated by Leasa Eisele, the Programs Chair for LAMQG. The Los Angeles Modern Quilt Guild is a non-profit organization that promotes and supports fiber art/quilting. It was founded in 2009 and is the flagship guild of the International Modern Quilt Guild.
